How to build a better mouse trap.

Financial Evolution in the U.S.A.
The birth of the movement known as the 99%'ers is proof that the United States is at a turning point. We the People, well at least 99% of us are fed up with the slavery we have been forced to endure at the hands of the 1%'ers, the wealthy. In other text the people I describe as the 'Royals'. The people that have taken over control of my country and are using me, my country and the power my country holds to enslave the entire world.
Too much Money
I had always thought there was no such thing as too much money. That concept was akin to too good looking or having too much fun. I now realize the difference in those concepts. Too good looking doesn't exist because there is no limit on looks. There are however limits on planetary resources. If 1% of the population owns 99% of the resources then 99% own nothing at all.
That is too much money. Which means we have a serious problem, because the people that have 'too much money' aren't going to give it back. They will force us to take it from them. Violence has been the answer to this age old problem since the inception of wealth.
The ability to overpower and stop those that sought to re-take thier fair share of our planetary resources and remain someone with too much money resulted in the creation of 'Legal Systems", and then Governments.
The Feudal System
A King is the alpha male in a feudal system. The Queen is the alpha female. They have historically been those people that were the strongest, most beautiful, smartest and most un-giving of people.
Giving meant losing in a Feudal System. Absolute power meant winning. Peasants were the bottom of the pyramid and these were the people that had little or no ability to effect thier own lives. What they were born they would remain and the 'Law' was set up to insure that.
Peasants discovered thier plight could only be ended by death or by taking over the power of the wealthy, by taking thier money. Businessmen were born. Kings learned that a wealthy peasant was always trouble so the class war began, and so began taxes.
Laws became a problem for the Kings so something higher than law was created. Divine Provenience, The Will of God. Having the authority of God meant a King could be exempt from the laws that made a society fair. The laws that might topple a King if he wasn't careful.
The birth of a king that wasn't really a king came next and the battle for resources and power escalated to holy wars and torture in order to insure ones wealth wasn't taken.
"The wealth and power of the few should never be allowed to outweigh the wealth and power of the many."
Legal and Human Rights
Peasants discovered that thier only true power was the power of numbers. If 99% of the population rose up in defiance of tyranny they won, every time. The Kings realized that they had to keep the people divided in order to remain in power and so they created 'Legal' loopholes that subverted the peasants 'Legal and Human Rights' and created 'privileged exceptions' to the law. Exceptions that take on names like 'Public Safety', 'National/Homeland Security' and 'Military Secrets'. Allowing them to lawfully be lawless and revoke the irrevocable 'Legal and Human Rights'.
Rights that every person were entitled to. A great nation was born under these new principals. That nation was the United States. The kings were no longer called kings. They were called 'High Society' the upper crust. They discovered that being hidden made it easier for them to get away with the amassing of great piles of wealth and power. They even took over the legal system by requiring vast sums of money in order to use it. Lawyers and court costs were born.
The peasants didn't see it coming. While the peasants believed thier rights were being protected by an elected government, the Kings were quietly taking all of the power away from those elected representatives. Leaving the peasants as powerless and unprotected as any Feudal system in history. Keeping the peasants ignorant of thier slavery was the new Kings greatest accomplishment. The new slavery was called 'Employment'. Once a free person became an employee they forfeited all the human and legal rights they thought were thiers. The only choices left to the peasants are 'Obey or Starve'.
Obey or Starve
Being unemployable is the new excommunication. Those refusing to be slaves for the High Society, the 'Financial Dictators' took the same path as the first businessmen. They created thier own companies and competed with the Kings. In some few cases the new businessmen won and gained a piece of the planets resources. Which was unacceptable to the old Kings, the Old Money.
So the Kings invented Patents. Pieces of paper that made it so a better mouse trap was illegal to build because it infringed on the legal right of the old king to keep selling his outdated and inferior wares. Since the legal system was completely controlled by the old Kings new Kings never had a chance. Hostile corporate take overs were born. New laws kept coming and coming until no one really understood them anymore. The only thing anyone could definitely take away from a study of the law was that 'the Law' was only to be followed by those that were too poor to not follow it. Enforcement of the incomprehensible laws became just another weapon in the Old Monies' arsenal and it is only enforced against those to poor to defend themselves from it, the peasants.
'The Law' the new written tyranny. The new divine provenience. The new God.
The Fall of the Unites States
I'm not exactly sure when the United States ceased to exist. It was sometime before my birth. The new country wasn't renamed, the peasants didn't even know they had lost it until the great invasion of 'Illegal Immigrants'.
You see the Kings in thier greed and constant infighting with each other found they could make more money if they openly broke the law and imported slaves from other nations. They also discovered that they could make a few extra dollars by exporting the jobs of thier native born slaves to other countries.
The only thing they did wrong was they forgot to keep the peasants ignorant of thier enslavement. The birth of the 'Occupy Together' 99%'ers was the result.
This movement is now in it's very begining stages. Protesters have risen up, been arrested by the storm troopers of the Old Money and so far that is all that has happened.
We must now decide if violence is the only way to reset the balance or if we have evolved to a place where we can find a better way.
Us peasants don't want much, just our Human Rights and the protection of a Government of the people by the people. The Government we started out with.
Personally I believe we must have three things.
1) Veto power over every law and tax in existence, through majority vote.
2) A Income Tax system that prevents all individuals from being able to become a financial dictator.
3) The Freedom to Build a better mousetrap unhindered by political red tape.
The greatest strength of the United States has always been the ingenuity of the middle-class. To combat that ingenuity the Old Kings developed legal loopholes that kept the little people from being able to compete. Guys like Preston Tucker who developed a better automobile in 1948. That creation was shot down by the 'Big Three' through the mis-use of the legal and political systems.
I believe quality should be the deciding factor not legal restrictions. If my mouse trap is better than yours, mine will sell. If yours is better yours will sell. Let the person with the better mousetrap be successful, without being forced from competition by unfair legal practices. Strong arming the little guy is just not acceptable.
If I invent a better mouse trap and my discovery causes you to come up with an even better one, then I better learn from what you discovered to make mine even better again or, longer lasting, cheaper, so I can compete.
If the ability to compete is based purely on being born into 'Old Money' the United States really is doomed. Those with more power must accept the responsibility to do more, because only they can.
Give Us Back Our Country! Before some ignorant fool decides violence is the only way.
Give us back our World, our Freedom.
Before all we have left...
...are holes in the ground.
